The epidemic of social media (you are failing because of social media)

The New rich and poor are both from social media

Social media is good social media is bad it depends on how you use it. It depends on are you seeing it as a consumer perspective or are you using it as a creator perspective.

Social media is a fast food of entertainment if you are just scrolling your feed all day long and learning nothing from it, creating nothing of it, doing absolutely nothing.

Then? To be honest here your life will be ruined. I have seen people who need their workdays/weekends off for scrolling their feed cause in their jobs they can't use their phone.

I mean how "pathetic" it is getting your day off for nothing? Instead you are mindlessly scrolling on social watching half-naked girls, wealthy entrepreneurs lifestyle. Mindless activities will lead you to a life where you find no fulfillment and happiness just silent chaos in your life, destroying your potential for scrolling.

Why social media is so addictive:

Social media has become an addiction now for the teenagers and adults in our modern society but, this isn't the only thing people have forgotten to spend time offline.

The reason why social media is so much addictive is that it is constantly giving you quick dopamine hits in a fraction of few seconds people have forget to listen longer and watch long-forms since when Tiktok and IG reels came into to people need instant stimulus all the time for their brain to entertain themselves.

The reason of addicts are different images, b-rolls videos, short clips. Have you ever think of it. If you created all of those videos and someone is watching then its a win. i want every one to be a creator to hone their unique skills and creativity in a way that they desire to show and the world loves to.

The problem is not social media the problem is your consuming habit which needs to be changed in an effective manner. If you are a creator and using it for brainstorming some ideas or analyzing the market for posts what's working and what isn't then its completely okay. But, if you are mindlessly consuming and scrolling social media all media all day long, then sorry buddy you are just wasting your valuable and precious time that you have for yourself.

How it is effecting your life:

It has been effecting you from a long time since you have been using social media just for the sake of entertainment.

• it is destroying your potential

• watching self-help videos are just procrastination but guilt free

• you are watching motivational content thinking you are doing something but in reality you didn't

• hating and envying on people who are richer than you.

and there has to be many more things just like that, I just mentioned a few of them.

scrolling a lot of social media is just brainwashing you and watching those half-naked girls are simply eating away your focus. You don't realize that now but when you will it will be too late i think.

One thing I learnt from social media and about all the online things you can't learn a lot from short form content they were just hooking you up and giving you quick dopamine hits to your brain even though its educational sometimes its useful but most of the times it's just a quick hit that your brain seeks because you're hooked.

I think most people have forgotten the part that there's a life exist for them in offline where the real joy is with your family, friends and closed ones.

Why society failed to think long term

Using social media a lot in society and society is also treating it as a normal thing, which it isn't excessive usage of social media for and teenagers and adults is not good by any means. You are not getting smarter you are getting dumber day by day and you mind is becoming numb by just consuming the content.

Creator's Paradox

But, there's another way around to it too be a creator and leverage the social, leverage the opportunity that you have got in our generation. As Dan Koe says "We are living in the 2nd renaissance anyone can become a creator with a real world problem solving skill, the internet and a laptop." The best way to start as a new creator is writing because with writing you don't need design, editing, creation you can learn all of that down the line.

But one thing don't think of it if you are a creator you can use a lot of social media the best creators I know are the one who do something away from where they broadcast and then take it to their broadcasting place.

As, Dr. Andrew Huberman said in a recent podcast "We are living in a war everyday in between becoming a creator and a consumer. If I wake up and take my journal I am a creator and If i took my phone I am a consumer."

Even most successful creators aren't that much active in social media for doing all of that stuff either they delegate it or they just come once in a day post a few and then get back to their craft which is meaningful for them.

You don't have to spend all of your time in social media even if you are a creator too. instead, work on marketing, sales, analytics and distribution.

Content creation is the way out

If you are doing nothing at the moment start with content creation or writing. In writing its just writing you will learn skills along the way. But if you start with content creation you will learn copywriting, visual hooks, editing, designing. Start anyways you think you can. Use social media as a leverage not distraction.

Sacrifices being as a creator

Being a creator is not easy, even though i am not that big creator yet but i am still trying my best to do so, remember one thing when you try something outside of your environment or comfort zone it will hurt your mind, you will face criticisms even from your own family because they can't understand what you were doing unless you learn to make money as a creator your friends will call you crazy society will too but that's good it means you are doing something of what you want.

Its not easy but it will be worth it in the long term if you building and creating something of your own.

Why creating something meaningful and of value is the only way out in 21st century

Because, the creator economy is booming greater than ever and after 10 years from now on creators will be the teacher of modern society.

Most people are feared by AI, that AI will eat all of their jobs even if they do start something creative and they will be replaceable. No AI can't replace creators if you are totally dependent on AI for your creation then only AI will replace you because you are not using your mind.

As naval said be a creator and you won't have to worry about AI and anything. If you are not creating something you are setting yourself way behind than the ones who have started before you.

Value Creation

One way or another start with some sort of value creation or start with some of your backend personal stories and let the people resonate with your stories and work.

Provide at least some sort of value where you have a proper knowledge about or just start by talking about the things you like to talk, don't worry about your niche or anything at the start. As i say one thing with writing always "write now and edit later." In a similar way you just need to start and you will figure all the things around by the time, no worries.

And one more thing don't become a boring creator talk about the things you're really passionate and interested about in a more interesting manner that's the only way to stand out from the crowd, who were saying the same thing in a same manner.

Saturation is a myth

I am pretty sure you've always heard the word saturation whenever someone wants to be a creator. if it's saturated then good a lot of people are doing it more money. Take things from a positive perspective. There is no such thing as saturation the people who were telling you this are they were a creator? or just a consumer stopping you from being a creator? ask this question to yourself and them too.

Instead if you started your journey as a creator you will learn:

• writing

• networking

• building an audience

• speaking

within 3 months, since i have started I've learnt all of these, I am still not a full time creator because i am learning things too.

Start creating now and monetize it later.
