Dopamine is the game changer

Everything is connected with dopamine your high's, your low's of life. I mean every single thing of yours is connected with your dopamine receptors.

Use your dopamine signaling for your highest leverage tasks don't destroy them with cheap ones.

Let's dive into the letter.

Why is it harmful and why is it ruining your focus

As you can see cheap dopamine is every where around you, the fast foods you eat, the video games you play, the short form mindless scrolling you do, the delusional sex you are watching on porn sites.

Every single thing is destroying your potential and your brain. You just haven't realized it yet.

It is eating away your focus.

because you think the illusions are real, you are living in some sort of delusional world. But, that is not true, In reality you are fucking up yourself, your perspective and your narrative towards all the real things in life.

Your dopamine can both be useful and harmful with the type of using you do.

Real dopamine make you something

Cheap dopamine destroys everything.

There's a upside to your dopamine too

Taste real dopamine an idea for your business, hard work, working towards your health, good sex with your gf/wife. Taste real dopamine not the fake ones.

Your dopamine levels defines every thing about you.

Society have normalized the things that make people minds numb, dumb and weak.

  • Watching porn in a week

  • Video games

  • One job for lifetime

  • Study 8 hours to get grades

  • Mindless scrolling

  • Having a negative surrounding

These things aren't normal wake up to reality.

Fat, sugar and salt

We all people love to eat foods or consume things that contain of these 3 things fat, sugar, and salt.

Why?

  • Fat = fear-mongering

  • Sugar = quick and desirable promises

  • Salt = absolutistic takes

The internet companies test combinations of these and the algorithm feeds us as much as we want until we’re mentally obese. Fear-induced content spurts dopamine into our brains and narrows our thinking because we “need” the information for later survival.

Now, here we are.

Quick money, quick sex, quick knowledge, quick food, quick entertainment.

A ticking time bomb that feels good at first but feels terrible later.

How dopamine actually works:

But overall dopamine isn't that bad at all.

Real dopamine can make you feel fulfilled, more energized and more happy.

Dopamine is a chemical reward, which works on short term gratification and long term gratification both. Dopamine works in every area of life whether you do some thing bad or good it is the feeling that you feel afterwards of doing something.

Do not fry your dopamine receptors by short term gratifications by trying to constantly looking for stimulus all the time.

Yo don't need quick stimulus all the time stop trying to looking for it.

Dopamine works on what you do, it always some sorts of rewards for any tasks you do. Either good or bad.

If you can use dopamine to your power, then it's a powerful chemical too.

Anything you do or doing right now has a purpose for you at the end, have a reward for what you are doing.

Humans are selfish they do most of the things for themselves for eat up their own cravings.

Why cheap dopamine is so addictive and real dopamine is hart to get?

Why is it so easy to get distracted with cheap dopamine? And why it is so hard to get real dopamine?

Well, you all know the reasons that our human brains loves comfort and it always seeks that. It is mostly afraid of change, not actually the change but the discomfort that comes within.

Cheap dopamine is everywhere, wherever you see. But, on the other hand real dopamine are so hard to get.

Here are a few examples of cheap dopamine's:

  • Pornography & masturbation

  • Fast foods

  • Scrolling mindlessly (cause it gives you quick stimulus)

  • Netflix for long hours

And this laundry of list goes on and on…

You see these are actually the things that you need to get yourself rid of.

Don't avoid them eliminate them, if you want positive dopamine spikes in your brain. As I've said earlier dopamine is just a reward chemical it rewards you accordingly to "what you do."

Eliminate all of them and you will thank me later.

Here on the other hand, now let's see the real dopamine's:

  • Working out (better health)

  • Getting a unique idea from reading a book, article or a newsletter

  • Meditation (breathe work)

  • Running

  • Walking

  • Creating something weather a design, writing or editing.

And this list also goes on and on …

You see how things can change? If you switch from cheap dopamine's for just the sake of "pleasure" to switch into changing your life.

Now you would say me, "but Sam, it is hard to change for, a lot of resistance needed."…

Well, that's good that's the only way for you to grow, without resistance there is no change without toughness there is no men.

You got to change the things if you want to build something, make something meaningful of yourself or making an impact on people lives.

It all starts with you my people the ones who are addicted to this, you don't know how much potential you are wasting on just numbing yourself with cheap pleasures.

Your success begins with internally, spiritually, mentally not externally.

Why dopamine plays a huge role in your career?

Dopamine surely plays a huge in everyone's career I guess. As we have talked earlier that dopamine is good and bad both. But how and why does it plays a huge role in your career.

Dopamine defines your future how you want to perceive your future, it tells from which source you are actually getting dopamine hits.

chasing good dopamine is the only way out here and if you constantly looking for outward stimulus and dopamine hits you will suffer in the long-term and your potential, career will be destroyed.

I think useless Instagram reels have destroyed potential of more men than any thing else, In my country reels are becoming a disease for youth. Consuming a lot of short form content will explode your brain. You are feeding your focus to them its eating away.

You see everything you do it is related with dopamine anything you do either it is good or bad it is inter related with dopamine. Dopamine itself is not a problem but how we are using it for our potential.

If you are habituated with cheap dopamine you will always feed cheap dopamine hits to your brain for constantly seeking stimulus and doing something.

Your career defines who you will become in the long-term I know its unpredictable but your your dopamine habits surely plays a huge role in it.

Long term gratification over short term gratification

Always choose long term gratification over short term ones. Watching porn is easy finding an opposite gender and doing sex is hard. Eating junk food with more carbs is easy, maintaining your diet and eating clean is hard. Sleeping more is easy but waking up at regular time and doing the things that matter is hard.

Whenever you choose or play some sort of game play long-term or don't play at all. Your potential depends a lot on it. The things which are giving you cheap pleasures and dopamine hits won't be take you there where you want to be in your life.

You are a human being you need gratification to live. So, play the long-term and wise way for what you are actually here.
