Why Society is holding you back (how to break free the chains)
How you can break the chains of society
Mediocrity breeds failure
Why?
Why am I saying that?
Because,
It does the same with everyone; it thinks everyone is the same as them, and it is built to work like a robot for 50 hours a week for enough money to survive.
The world is evolving, so we need to be. The new riches are the ones who hold and capture attention for the longest period.
There is no right or wrong way to earn money. It's just the ethics, rules and principles we follow and that's okay.
However, with time, people must change their behavior, mindset, and work ethic to survive in the modern economy.
Why society is holding you back:
School systems
Close mindedness
Don't ask meaningful questions
Burn all of your curiosities
Please don't do business because it's risky
Do a job because it provides you with safety for life
and the list goes on and on …
Somehow, if you think you can get out of this mediocrity rat race. They won't let you be because they want the same for you.
One harsh truth that I learned the hard way:
No matter who you are people will always want to have the upper hand on you they don't want you to go higher or more successful than them except for one person your father, the only man who wants you to be more successful than he was.
Mark my words.
Cure your boredom
There have been a lot of ways to cure your boredom, but most people and you know the only way is "scrolling on social media."
Frying up your brain as much as you can, rather than when you have the opportunity yourself to become a creator.
It has never been easier to create:
You have:
• Kortex/ Notion
• Figma/ Canva
• Chat GPT
• Beehive
All for free, and you are still procrastinating WTF!!!
The generation before us doesn't know about all of this stuff but we do.
That is where we have to leverage ourselves to the most.
The best way to cure your boredom is nothing, but to create something of meaning.
If you don't know how to write, study
if you don't know how to edit, study
if you don't know how to design, study
if you don't know how to get ideas, read
Every problem has a rational solution if you think rationally.
Instead of giving excuses.
Cure your boredom by meaning, not by meaningless things such as:
Porn
Video games
Constantly looking for external stimulus
The Curse of Traditional Pathway
The curse of formal education (traditional pathway)
People need to break free of this mindset:
Go to school
Get a job
Retire at 60
Survive at your deathbed with a mere pension
Let me tell you what this life looks like:
Wake up.
Hit snooze 4 times.
Stare at your phone.
Roll out of bed.
Make coffee.
Sit in traffic.
8 hours of unfulfilling work.
Sit in traffic... again.
Argue with your "significant" other.
Walk the pet.
Watch TV.
Pass out.
Repeat.
This should scare the shit out of you. - Dan Koe
If doesn't then you will suffer immensely in the long term.
See, I don't have a problem with a job. I have a problem with the traditional education system and the mindless jobs come with that.
You can now build anything of yourself and then leverage it or you can learn a skill and then teach the skill to people who don't know enough or sell the skill.
Do whatever you can build whatever you can. But learn, marketing, human psychology and persuasion so, you don't become a starving artist.
The school system we currently are in is adopted by a Prussian military system where slaves were trained to be workers for life. The modern-day school system is outdated. Self-education is the only way out here.
Let me give you a Difference between Formal education and Self-education:
Formal education
• Play safe
• Close mindedness
• Don't ask questions
• Do one thing for life that you hate
Self-education
• Learn to take risks
• Radical open-mindedness
• Ask more questions
• Doing whatever you love to do.
Now, I think you can see the differences clearly and get a better perspective on why the modern-day education system is a curse.
"education" isn't the right word
I think schooled or indoctrinated is.
Because education comes from within, not what the government teaches you.
When you question everything, over time you will become more purposeful with your actions.
Do something that challenges you, the human psyche craves challenges
Put your focus only on the things that make your life better, otherwise, anything else would be a distraction from your vision.
But there's always a good side to the bad let's come to it.
The failure of the modern education system:
Modern education has failed to educate people, instead, they are avoiding failures. In schools, if you fail everyone mocks you, your teacher your parents everyone scolds you but the real world is the exact opposite of that In the real world without failures there's nothing exists on the upper side. You have the limiting beliefs to take a problem in your life and iterate as much as possible. It's not 10,000 hours at something or some skill that makes the people best in the field but, 10,000 iterations. The modern education system trains people to be slaves for the rest of their lives.
You will always fail when the government is teaching you how to live your life with meaning. The best way to live your life is to find some sort of meaning in it on your own. Start taking charge of yourself and taking accountability.
The education system rewards based on the grades, not the methods and systems. I think that formal education always closes the minds, instead of opening it.
Study diverse subjects to broaden your perspectives. Satisfy your curiosities by gaining knowledge in specific fields. Pursue knowledge, not mere information.
The difference between where you are and where you want to be is the work that you're not putting into action. Instead, you're procrastinating because that is what your brain tells you to do to feel comfortable at the moment. Our brain is afraid of new things and change; it always wants to seek comfort. The mind gets anxious when you don't know what to do at the exact moment—when you can't figure things out, you feel anxious.
Why are you feeling so lost?
Now, here's the interesting part if you are feeling lost there are a lot of ways to solve it and causes too.
First I come to the causes then we'll talk about the ways to solve it.
Causes of why you're feeling lost in life:
Doing only what others told you to do
Not building something of your own
Only consuming and scrolling and creating nothing
surround yourself with negative people
Not having proper control over the mind
Hating on people who have walked down the path you wanted to
A lot of things if you see it.
But, the good part is?
You can recover from all of these things
The only solution is to "create something of meaning."
Why? Because when you create something on your own by your own, I don't know why but you get a feeling of fulfillment and joy inside yourself.
Be open to learning and fail or you'll be way behind than you think.
How can you fix it?
I've told you why you're lost It is an anti-vision let's turn it into a vision now:
Doing what you love to do
Building something of your own
Consume 30%. Create 70%
Surround yourself with people who understand you and soak positivity
Have a disciplined mindset. Disciplined ones are the free ones. Remember that
Learn from people who have walked down the path you wanted. Seek mentorship from them.
Now, can you see?
How just the things have turned around. As I say it's all about mindset and the war is internal.
Feeling lost is only a way or an excuse to delay the work or to procrastinate at it.
So, you don't have to change and your brain loves comfort that is what you're seeking now, it is too afraid to seek discomfort and change.
"Seek comfort in discomfort and you shall have a worthy life."
As Naval Ravikant said:
"Rich kids got no meaning in their life."
(If you're born a rich kid, no offence to you)
Breaking the chains isn't just about creating it's about understanding yourself, the market you are targeting, and the people you want to work with.
Study marketing, sales, human psychology, and persuasion. Build something a product or a service then craft a message according to the above skills.
Breaking the chains starts with a compassionate interest in yourself. Self-education is taught where general education ends. Unless you are open to learning and failure you can never grow.
Everyone has different lenses, and you can't change theirs. Study topics that add new perspectives to your knowledge to better understand things.
The path of mastery is a goalless journey guided by self-generated goals.
No challenge is hardest at the start—it intensifies as you progress.
You can only solve a problem with a different mindset than what created it. Your perspective is shaped by the knowledge you consume and internalize. You have more potential than you realize—you just haven't tapped into it yet. You might hesitate to work for yourself for months or years, but you'll work for someone else at minimal wages for decades.
